EUDR Compliance Made Simple

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) aims to minimize deforestation associated with agricultural products imported into the European Union. For coffee industry operators, this means significant new requirements for traceability and due diligence.

GeoTrace provides all the tools needed to meet these requirements efficiently:

  • Geolocation data collection and verification
  • Supply chain mapping and documentation
  • Risk assessment and mitigation tools
  • Due diligence statement generation
  • Secure data storage for the required 5-year period

Simple Process

to prepare for EUDR

Step 1

Collect

farm geolocation information from producers

"Producers can use Google Earth, TerraTrack or QGIS to collect polygons. Below 4ha size only single latitude and longitude pair is required."

Step 2

Assess Risk

with simple one-click process

"GeoTrace will compare all geolocation data to public deforestation datasets in the background, checks validity of the data and saves results for all farms."

Step 3

Submit

shipment data

"Geolocations and additional data can be easily exported into compatible GeoJSON format that is accepted by EU Due Dilligence System."

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about GeoTrace and EUDR compliance

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is a new law requiring companies to prove that products like coffee, cocoa, palm oil, soy, cattle, wood, and rubber entering the EU market are not linked to deforestation or forest degradation. It includes strict requirements for geolocation data, risk assessment, and due diligence documentation.

The EUDR will be enforced from December 30, 2025, for medium and large companies, and from June 30, 2026, for micro and small companies. However, companies should begin preparing now to ensure full compliance by the enforcement dates.

GeoTrace provides tools for collecting and verifying geolocation data, mapping coffee farms, tracking the supply chain, conducting risk assessments, and generating due diligence statements required by the EUDR. Our platform makes compliance straightforward by digitalizing and automating much of the process.

Yes, our mobile application is designed to work offline in remote areas. Data can be collected in the field without internet connection and synchronized once connectivity is available, making it ideal for coffee-growing regions with limited infrastructure.

GeoTrace employs bank-level encryption and security protocols to ensure all data is secure. Access controls allow you to determine who can view and edit specific information. All data is backed up regularly and stored securely for the 5-year period required by the EUDR.
